The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, continues his state visit to the State of Qatar, which he started on Saturday, at the invitation of the prince Cheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani.
President Tebboune visited the central building of Qatar Foundation, which has 50 subsidiaries in the fields of education, research and social development, where he was welcomed by the Vice President of the Board of Directors and executive chairperson of the establishment, Chikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani.
The Head of State visited the various departments of the Qatari foundation where he received explanations on the objectives, activities, organization and subsidiaries of the Qatar Foundation.
Mr. Tebboune then went to the National Library of Qatar, where he visited the various pavilions and listened to a presentation on the works and manuscripts in its possession. At the end of his tour, the President of the République visited the “Al Shaqab” Arabian thoroughbred stud farm where he learned about the main breeds bred in this centre.
Bilateral talks extended to ministers and officials from the two countries took place before the President of the Republic and the Emir of Qatar had a face-to-face meeting.
Algeria and Qatar have signed several cooperation agreements in the fields of diplomacy, justice, social development, family and higher education.
President Tebboune received, on Sunday at his residence in Doha, the Prime Minister, Qatari Interior Minister, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, who paid him a courtesy visit.
The Head of State met, Sunday evening in Doha, in the presence of the accompanying delegation, representatives of the national community established in Qatar and listened to their concerns.
He also answered their questions concerning in particular the socio-economic situation of the country and the Algerian-Qatari relations and the means of promoting them.
President Tebboune is accompanied in his State visit to Qatar by a ministerial delegation made up of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Energy and Mines, Agriculture and Rural Development, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Housing, Town Planning and the City and National Solidarity, the Family and the Women Conditions.
