
President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received today, Wednesday, a phone call from the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Frank Steinmeier, during which the two presidents discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and ways to expand them to all fields, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.
The statement said that the two presidents discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, expand them to all fields and intensify investment in all fields, especially energy and renewable energies, mechanical industry, construction, cultural exchange, health cooperation, including the realization of the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital. The leaders of the two countries also agreed on the necessity of convening the joint committee for cooperation, as soon as possible.”
On the same occasion, “the two presidents reviewed regional and international issues of common interest, such as the situation in the Sahel region, especially in Mali, and the need to find peaceful solutions in Libya through elections. The German president also expressed Germany’s support for the role of the UN envoy to Western Sahara, thanking Algeria’s role in implementing peace and stability in the region and throughout Africa.
