The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on Monday in Algiers, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Algeria, Li Lianhe, who paid him a farewell visit at the end of his mission in Algiers, indicates a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, today at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Algeria, Li Lianhe, who paid him a farewell visit at the end of his mission in Algiers,” the statement read.
The meeting took place in the presence of the director of cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Abdelaziz Khellaf.
In a statement to the press at the end of this audience, the Chinese diplomat said he had expressed to President Tebboune his “thanks and gratitude for the facilitations and cooperation he received from the Algerian side during his mission as ambassador of China in Algiers”.
Reiterating his country’s interest in strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation with Algeria, Mr. Lianhe said he conveyed to President Tebboune the Chinese President’s greetings.
The Chinese diplomat also said that he followed during his mission to Algeria the development of bilateral relations in various fields.
Welcoming the level of “fruitful cooperation” between the two countries in the economic field, the Chinese ambassador said his country attaches “particular interest” to the development and strengthening of cooperation with Algeria.
