President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received today, Tuesday, a phone call from his Tunisian counterpart, Mr. Kaïs Saïed, in which he expressed his “solidarity and sympathy” with the Algerian people due to the fires that broke out in many provinces of the country, offering his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
The statement read: “The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received today a phone call from his brother, Mr. Kaïs Saïed, President of the sisterly Republic of Tunisia, in which he expressed his solidarity and sympathy with the Algerian people as a result of the fires that broke out in many provinces of the country, offering his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, stressing Tunisia’s readiness to support Algeria by providing a specialized firefighting helicopter.
The same source added: “In turn, the President thanked his Tunisian counterpart for his noble sentiments and for sister Tunisia for always standing by Algeria’s side.”
