The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolence to Brazilian President Lula da Silva, following the death of football legend Edson Arantes do Nascimento “Pele”, in which he expressed his deep sorrow for the death of the global icon, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.
The statement read: “Today, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolence to Brazilian President Lula da Silva, in his name and in the name of the Algerian people, following the death of football legend Edson Arantes do Nascimento “Pele”, in which he expressed his great sorrow follwoing the death of the son of the Brazilian people and the global icon, who has always inspired people to get attached to the magical ball, and who sit on the throne of football for decades.
