President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune confirmed today, in his written speech in Algiers, the urgent need for “changing the economic development model” through breaking with old methods to “exit rents economy and move towards a diversified and wealth-producing economy.”
Tebboune went on insisting, in his address at the opening of the National Conference on the Knowledge Economy, read on his behalf by Prime Minister, Abdelaziz Djerad, on the fact that « the recommended model must “be based on the human resource and the high-level competences of our country,”, adding in his same message that “”Changing the development model surely will require a forward-looking vision and concrete and pragmatic measures and mechanisms at both short and medium terms,”
President of the Republic finished his message by saying: “We wanted this conference to be a space that brings together various actors, including experts, researchers, economic actors, social partners, and innovative and creative youth entrepreneurs, according to a comprehensive participatory approach.”
