President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, stressed today, Sunday, to the Council of Ministers the “necessity” of vaccinating all employees of the education sector against the Coronavirus before the beginning of the school year on September 21, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.
The statement indicated that “the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, after opening the session and presenting the meeting’s agenda and after listening to the presentation of the Prime Minister on the government’s activity during the last two weeks as well as the presentations of the ministers, gave the following orders and instructions, including ensuring that all the employees of the education sector must be vaccinated before entering school.
The President of the Republic also stressed “the need to find immediate solutions to the suffering of pupils due to the heavy schoolbag,” and to “exploit” educational and higher education facilities to the “maximum” and not make them “subject to” the administration’s timings.
According to the same source, President Tebboune also entrusted the Minister of the Interior with “vigorously monitoring and following up the conditions of school transport, and improving it by providing the best services, especially in disadvantaged areas.”
Among the orders issued by the President of the Republic during this meeting – the statement adds – the “speeding-up” of the launch of the National Higher School for the Training of Professors Specialized in Teaching the Deaf-Mutes under the aegis of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and “valuing” the development of Braille books in the subjects of mathematics and science for the first time in Algeria.
