
The President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, , stressed today, Sunday, while chairing a cabinet meeting, the need to increase the pace of preparations related to the Mediterranean Games – 2022 in Oran, in order to make up for the negative results recorded during the recent Olympic Games.
A cabinet statement stated that the President of the Republic had given instructions to “increase the pace of preparations related to the Mediterranean Games that will be hosted by our country, especially the organization of trainings and competitions at various levels, to make up for the negative results recorded during the recent Olympic Games.”
The President of the Republic also urged to consider “the possibility of opening the way for international companies to train athletes and motivate them to compete during the upcoming 2022 Mediterranean Games and to give more opportunities to specialists in Olympic sports, in order to achieve better results.”
He also insisted on giving “special importance to school and university sports in various disciplines and creating local, state and regional championships, in order to establish a national sports project.”
The President of the Republic called for “the reorganization of the sports secondary school to allow the opening of regional branches in Constantine, Oran and Ouargla, after accurately determining the extent of the demand for this specialty in the educational community.”
