President of the Republic supervises the graduation ceremony of promotions at the Military Academy of Cherchell

President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, supervised today, Tuesday, at the Military Academy of Cherchell “late President Houari Boumediene”, the annual graduation ceremony of promotions.

The President gave approval to name the graduating promotions after the late Mujahid Abdelhafid Boulousouf, alias “Si Mabrouk”, who passed away in 1980 at the age of 54 after a revolutionary and militant path full of sacrifices for the sake of the homeland.

The traditional ceremony, which is the culmination of the graduation of promotions from the various training institutions of the National People’s Army for the 2021-2022 school year, began with the reception of the President of the Republic by the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, General Said Chanegriha, accompanied by the Commander of the First Military Region, Major General Ali Sidane and the Academy Commander. Major General Salmi Bacha.

The President of the Republic was also received by the Commander of the Republican Guard, Lieutenant-General Ben Ali Ben Ali, as well as the commanders of the forces of the People’s National Army.

After reviewing a military formation that gave him an honorary salute at the entrance to the academy, and listening to the national anthem, the President of the Republic laid a wreath in front of the memorial honoring late President Houari Boumediene, and read the Fatiha of the Holy Koran on his pure soul.

In the beginning of the ceremony, Lieutenant-General Said Chanegriha delivered a speech on the occasion in the presence of the Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, Brahim Boughali, Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, and the President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, members of the government and advisors to the President of the Republic, as well as members of foreign diplomatic missions in Algeria, families of graduates and revolutionaries.
