
The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed on Saturday, that the state has taken a number of measures aimed at improving the citizen’s living standard and protect his purchasing power.
In his periodic meeting with representatives of the national press, which was broadcast on various national television and radio channels, the President of the Republic said: “We are working, as much as possible and gradually, to raise the purchasing power of the citizen.”
In this context, the President recalled the measures taken, including raising the index point and the pensions of retirees, in addition to reducing the tax on the salaries of employees and non-employees, in addition to the unemployment pension, that Algeria is the only African and Arab country to adopt this measure, as well as the reimbursement card that this category benefit from with all the advantages it implies, noting that all these measures are part of raising the purchasing power of the citizen.
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic assured the working class that “from now until the end of the year, there will be an increase in wages and in the unemployment pension to be applied in the beginning of January 2023.”
