Mr. President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, visited today, Thursday, December 08, 2022, the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, where he was received by Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army.
After listening to the national anthem and receiving military honors, by formations of the various forces of the People’s National Army, the President of the Republic saluted his guests.
During this visit, the President of the Republic presided over the periodic work meeting, which was attended by the Lieutenant General, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, officers of brigades and deans of the Ministry of National Defense and Staff of People’s National Army, and via teleconference, the commanders of the forces of the Republican Guard, the National Gendarmerie, the Military Regions and the major units of the People’s National Army.
During this meeting, Mr. President listened to a comprehensive presentation on the prevailing security situation throughout the country, presented by Mr. Lieutenant General, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army, which included the outcome of the actions carried out by the units of People’s National Army during the year 2022, with a view to establishing the conditions for stability and strengthening an atmosphere of Security and tranquility of the citizens, in addition to the tasks related to protecting our long national borders, our airspace, and our maritime outskirts, as well as implementing programs to prepare and develop battle strength and the efficiency of mechanisms to maintain the operational readiness of combat units.
On this occasion, the President gave a number of directives and instructions, all of which fall within the framework of urging the personnel of the People’s National Army to continue the journey of development and modernization of all its components, in order to raise the challenges encountered, win their bets, and advance our armed forces to assume the ranks befitting the greatness and sanctity of the tasks entrusted.
After signing the Golden Record, the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense left the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, where he was seen off by Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army.
