
The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on Thursday, participants in the International Symposium on “Imam Mohamed Ben Abdelkrim Al Maghili: Governance, Unity and Stability of African Societies” organized in Algiers on December 12 and 13, says a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
” They are the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, the President of Usman Bauchi Foundation, Ibrahim Tahir Bauchi (Nigeria), the Caliph of the Tidjanie brotherhood of the Djenaba region (Senegal), Chiekh Serine Hassen Sik, the President of the House of the Koran “Meriem Niass”, Omar Tidjani, the Sultan of Agadez, Ibrahim Oumarou (Niger), the President of the Association of Imam Ben Abdelkrim Al Maghili and his grandson, M. Ibrahim Saidan, Sheikh Karib Allah Nasser Kabar, leader of the Kadiria brotherhood in Nigeria and West Africa, and the grandson of Imam Al-Maghili, Abdelkarim Sherif Ali Sherif, president of the Al-Maghili Foundation,” the statement said.
The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, was attended by the Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Youcef Belmehdi, and the Chargé de Mission to the Presidency of the Republic, Mr Hassouni Mohamed.
