The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune highlighted, Tuesday in Algiers, the commitment of the State to support the Algerian investor and promote national production in order to meet the needs of the local market and to orient towards export.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the 30th Algerian production fair “FPA 2022” at the Pins-Maritimes exhibition center, the President of the Republic reiterated the State’s commitment to “accompany the Algerian investor to the revival of the national product which now has an excellent reputation on the world markets”, which will contribute to “the achievement of a real economic take-off”.
The President undertook, in this context, to grant the necessary facilitations to investors in the southern regions to revive the agricultural sector and develop the various sectors, noting that “the partnership is open to investors from the Gulf countries to support the diversification of the national economy, particularly in the dairy and cattle breeding sectors”.
In the same context, President Tebboune insisted on the importance of “encouraging the local production of fresh milk and reducing the bill for importing milk powder”, showing the State’s determination to face up to all sorts of milk powder mining scams.
Recalling that “Algeria has effectively achieved self-sufficiency in the production of fruits and vegetables”, President Tebboune called for the imperative to preserve and enhance Algeria’s natural products, such as honey.
President Tebboune invited Algerian investors to “exploit the opportunities currently available in European countries as the winter season approaches with a view to opening up new export channels, especially since the national product is now renowned for its excellent quality and competitiveness”.
