Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad received his first shot of Sputnik V vaccine today Sunday in Algiers in the wake of Saturday’s launch of the vaccination campaign Covid-19, started symbolically from Blida province, south to Algiers. Mr. Djerad received his dose of the vaccine at “Les Sources” clinic in Algiers.
On Friday, Algeria received the first doses of “Sputnik V” vaccine from Russian laboratories.
Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform had prepared for this campaign, which is supervised by Pasteur Institute, all necessary logistics to make sure the vaccine will be provided to all citizens across the country.
Approximately 8,000 vaccination centres have been prepared for this operation, including hospitals, clinics and neighbourhood health institutions, which have extensive experience in vaccination.
