Prime Minister highlights Algeria’s efforts to empower Africa

The Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane, highlighted, on Thursday evening in Washington (United States), Algeria’s efforts aimed “to give Africa the means for real development”.

In a statement to the press at the end of the work of the United States/Africa Summit, in which he took part in his capacity as representative of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister indicated that “Algeria works to liberate Africa by giving it the means to develop in order to emerge from its isolation”.

Algeria emphasized, during its participation in this event, “on the problems of the development of the African continent by calling for allowing Africa to initiate a real process of development”, he specified.

“Algeria highlighted during this Summit the radical change it has made in “record time through the revision of the legal framework to relaunch and free investment from bureaucracy”, he underlined.

He added that “Algeria has started a process of global development that has targeted all sectors”, he explained, stressing that the country “has achieved the best results in Africa, as evidenced by the various world institutions”.

In this regard, Mr. Benabderrahmane recalled the ambitious program of the President of the Republic as well as the development programs which “take into account the dimension of regional integration, like several projects which Algeria is working on implementing in the infrastructure sector and basic structures in order to contribute to the development of the black continent”.

The Prime Minister took a souvenir photo with US President Joe Biden and African Presidents and Heads of State and Government at the closing of the 2nd US/Africa Summit in Washington.
