Prime Minister presents his condolences on the death of former Minister of Finance Abderrahmane Benkhalfa

Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelaziz Djerad, sent a message of condolences to the family of the former Minister of Finance, the late Abderrahmane Benkhalfa, who passed away on Friday morning at the age of 72, highlighting his “varied and rich” career in which he combined academic activity and field work.

The Prime Minister said in his condolences message: “With reverent hearts of believers in the judgment and will of Allah, I received the news of the death of the forgiven, Allah willing, Professor Abderrahmane Benkhalfa; may Allah bless him and whom Allah Almighty has lined up next to him in the holy month of Ramadan, the month of mercy and forgiveness, after a varied and rich career in which he combined academic activity and field work.

“We are losing one of the experts and national competencies in the financial sector, who held several positions, including that of Minister of Finance, Secretary General of the Association of Maghreb Banks, and lastly, special envoy of the African Union,” said Mr. Djerad.

He concluded by saying: “As I share with you the pains of this great affliction, I present to the family of the deceased and his colleagues in university teaching the most sincere expressions of condolences and the most sincere sympathy, calling upon Allah the highest to embrace his pure spirit with the breadth of his mercy and forgiveness, to welcome him in Paradise and grace his family with patience and great solace”.
