The two Algerian champions, Lamia Issaoui and Cherazade Chibani, won today, Friday, the gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games, now being held in Konya, Turkey.
They won over the Turkish dueto 12-8, in the final.
This is Algeria’s second gold medal in these games, after the first won by Amine Bouanani, in the 110-meter hurdles.
The Algerian raffa harvest rose to one gold and 3 bronze medals, pending the mixed final that brings together Algeria and Turkey later today.
