Ramadan 2023: The President of the Republic extends his wishes to the Algerian people

On Wednesday evening, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, addressed the Algerian people in a speech to extend his wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, calling on merchants to promote the spirit of “solidarity, mutual aid, and mercy.”

“To my fellow citizens, praise be to God who has blessed us to reach and live this holy month in an atmosphere of piety and fraternity among all Algerians inside the country or abroad,” he said.

In this context, President Tebboune called on honest merchants who “are the majority, especially neighborhood merchants, to promote, as usual, the spirit of solidarity, mutual aid, and mercy and to revive authentic Algerian moral values on such occasions.”

The President also affirmed that the state “has taken all measures to supply the market, in order to avoid any disruption in distribution and fight against any attempt to manipulate citizens’ food,” calling on Algerians to “avoid bad consumption habits, especially waste, in all its forms.”

President Tebboune extended his wishes to Algerians inside the country and members of the national community abroad on the occasion of the holy month, “praying to Allah, the Merciful and Compassionate, to grant us His forgiveness and accept our fasting and prayers.”
