Ramadan: exchange of greetings between the President of the Republic and his Turkish counterpart

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a phone call on Tuesday evening from his brother, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, during which he presented his wishes to him and to the Algerian people on the occasion of the advent of the sacred month of Ramadan, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.

“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a phone call today from his brother, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, a brotherly country, during which he presented his wishes to him and to the Algerian people on the occasion of the advent of the sacred month of Ramadan,” the statement said.

In turn, “the President also presented his wishes to his brother Erdogan and to the Turkish people,” the same source added.

“The President of the Republic of Turkey, a brotherly country, renewed his thanks to Algeria for the support provided to Turkey in the early hours following the earthquake that struck the country a few weeks ago, particularly for the role of the Civil Protection rescue teams,” the statement continued.

“In addition to following up on bilateral cooperation files, the two presidents agreed to intensify and multiply their efforts to support the Palestinian cause,” the same source concluded.
