Zakat al-Fitr (alms given at the end of the holy month of fasting Ramadan) for this year has been set at DZD120 for each person, said Wednesday the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs in a statement.
To this end, the Ministry instructed the Imams of the mosques to proceed, in collaboration with the committees of the mosques across the national territory, to the collection of the Zakat, to be redistributed to the needy, one or two days before Aïd El-Fitr.
Zakat El-Fitr is compulsory for all Muslims. Every Muslim, weather well-off or poor, should fulfill the Zakat for him and for the people that he’s taking in charge.
