Ramtane Lamamra and his Sudanese counterpart reiterated their commitment to working together

Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, held a phone talk with his Sudanese counterpart, Mariam Sadek al-Mahdi, in which they reiterated their commitment to work together to promote political solutions to the crises in the region.

Mr. Lamamra wrote yesterday Wednesday in a tweet on his own Twitter account: “follow-up conversations with my colleague and sister Mariam al-Sadiq al-Mahd, Minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Sudan, reiterated today, via a telephone call, our commitment to working together to promote political solutions to crises in the region”.

Mr. Lamamra was received last Saturday in Khartoum by the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who conveyed to him a message from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The visit underscored the friendship and synergy between Algeria and Sudan and their brotherly peoples and highlighted the will of the leaders of the two countries to give a new breath to bilateral relations.

Previousely, Mr. Lamamra was received by Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, with whom he discussed ways and means to materialize the common will to increase the level of bilateral cooperation in all fields and promote joint efforts in light of the numerous challenges related to peace and security in their respective territories.

Algeria Head of diplomacy, had in-depth consultations with his Sudanese counterpart, Mariam Sadek al-Mahdi. The two parties expressed their satisfaction with the quality of political relations prevailing between the two countries and reiterated their commitment to work together to strengthen bilateral cooperation in strategic areas.
