On the sidelines of his participation in the work of the International Conference to Support Stability in Libya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, was received by the President of the Libyan Presidency Council, Mr. Mohamed El Manfi.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the strong and historical brotherly relations between the two countries and the prospects for strengthening them to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples. The two sides also exchanged views on the Conference to Support Stability in Libya, which was held in the Libyan capital.
On this occasion, Minister Lamamra conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to his brother, the President of the Presidency Council, Mr. Mohamed El Manfi, congratulating him on the success of the Conference to Support the Stability of Libya and renewing to him his determination to continue working closely with him to consolidate bonds of solidarity and cooperation in various fields, stressing Algeria’s firm positions beside the brotherly Libyan people.
For his part, Mr. Mohamed Al-Manfi expressed his full appreciation for the constructive role played by Algeria in support of the peace and national reconciliation process in Libya, and also valued its distinguished participation in the Conference to Support Stability in Libya, thanking its support for this initiative since it was presented for the first time during the meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries held the 30 and 31 of August 2021.
