Regional meetings on health will be organized at the end of October, in an approach aiming at ” boosting the national health system ” based on the proposals submitted by the social partners, revealed Sunday, the head of the sector, Abderrahmane Benbouzid.
During an audience he granted to a delegation of the Autonomous National Union of Medical Auxiliaries in Anaesthesia and Resuscitation of Public Health, led by Dr. Mohamed Amine Bendali, the Minister announced the scheduling of regional meetings on health at the end of October, one of its most important objectives is “to boost the health system”, by “involving all actors, including social partners and civil society to submit proposals to improve the sector.
These meetings, announced by Mr Benbouzid, come in view of the national meetings on the health sector, announced a few days ago by the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane.
Responding to the concerns and questions of the deputies of People’s National Assembly during the debate on the government’s action plan, the Prime Minister said that these national meetings scheduled on the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, will be a “major and decisive step for a precise diagnosis of the health situation in Algeria, which should lead to practical and applicable solutions on the ground”.
Within the same context, he expressed the Government’s willingness to “undertake, as soon as possible, a revision of the entire health system by carrying out a deep and complete reform based mainly on the revision of the health map through the adoption of new standards that take into consideration the real needs of each region, on the basis of a precise diagnosis and objective data”.
As for the meeting of the Minister of Health with the autonomous national union of medical auxiliaries in anesthesia and resuscitation of public health, it was an opportunity to “reaffirm the importance of a responsible dialogue with social partners at all levels, in the context of consolidating and improving the management of public health, in accordance with instructions and orders given by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The two parties discussed, in particular, issues related to “the revision of the special status of the medical auxiliaries in anesthesia and resuscitation, concerning the definition of procedures, career development and training”.
