Religious Affairs: Lifting ban on Subh prayer in provinces concerned with adjusting lockdown timings

In a press release today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments called on sector managers across the provinces concerned with amending the lockdown timings from ten in the evening to five in the morning, to “lift the ban on Subh prayer” while adhering to all preventive measures to limit the spread of Coronavirus.

The press release indicated that, in implementation of the Prime Ministry’s instruction issued yesterday, Monday, related to amending the lockdown timing from ten in the evening to five in the morning, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, through the General Inspectorate – the Ministerial Follow-up Committee, invites sector managers across the provinces concerned with the aforementioned amendment, to “lift the ban” on Subh prayer in the provinces that are not affected by the timing of the lockdown.

The ministry also called, in the same context, to “reactivate activities at cultural centers in all its branches, with full care to respect all necessary preventive measures to limit the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.”
