Civil Protection Services recorded, in the last 48 hours, 9 deaths and 364 injured caused by road accidents in several provinces.
Civil Protection said also that its units «conducted 284 interventions on several road accidents across several provinces, recording 9 deaths and 364 injured.
During the same period, 4 different urban and industrial fires were extinguished in Oran, Boumerdes, Blida and Bordj Bou Ariridj, causing breath shortness to one person.
Civil Protection Units of Setif rescued six (6) people who were trapped by water following the flood of Bousalem valley in the municipality of Hamam Guerguour after the recent rains in the region.
On the other hand, two (2) people died by carbon monoxide gas from the bathroom heater inside their house in “AADL” neighborhood of Sidi Abdellah in Zeralda (west of the capital).
Regarding its efforts in prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus, Civil Protection Units carried out 81 awareness campaign operations, urging citizens to respect the rules of containments and physical distancing, in addition to carrying out 59 sterilization operations across public and private facilities.
