Fourteen (14) people died and 961 others were injured in traffic accidents that occurred across several regions of the country over the past week, according to a report released Tuesday by Civil Protection.
The heaviest toll was recorded in the wilaya of Chlef with 2 deaths and 26 injured at the scene of the accidents, specifies the same source.
In addition, the elements of the Civil Protection intervened for the extinction of 907 urban, industrial and other fires, the most important having occurred in Algiers (94), Oran (55) and Blida (33).
Finally, 6014 other interventions were carried out during the same period for the rescue of 462 people in danger and the execution of 5161 various assistance operations.
