Forty people (40) died and 1422 others were injured in 1183 traffic accidents that occurred between October 10 and 16 across the national territory, said Wednesday a report of Civil Protection.
The heaviest toll was recorded in Bouira Province where 4 people died in an accident and 28 others were injured in 34 accidents.
In addition, 1194 urban, industrial and other fires were extinguished following 1621 operations, the most important of which were recorded in the province of Algiers with 206 operations for the suppression of 160 fires.
Regarding activities to fight the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), 320 awareness raising operations have been carried out across 58 provinces and 175 operations of disinfection across 58 provinces have covered all infrastructures, public and private buildings, neighborhoods and alleys.
