The new Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to Algiers, Gruia Otilio Gakuta, affirmed, today, Sunday, that the “strong” relations that exist between Algeria and his country, which will soon celebrate their sixtieth anniversary, are based on “friendship and trust”.
In a statement after handing over his credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Gruia Otilio Gakuta confirmed that Algeria and Romania “share traditional relations based on friendship and trust”, recalling that the two countries will celebrate together, on the 14th of April of next year, the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of these relations.
The new Romanian ambassador added, “The strength of the relations between our two countries lies in the solid foundations that can support future projects in all fields.”
He also highlighted, in this regard, his country’s readiness to “continue joint action and exchange expertise and experience in the institutional field, especially higher education.”
It’s worth recalling that the meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, and the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Abdelaziz Khalaf.
