Sahrawi President Brahim Ghali arrived at dawn today, Wednesday to Algeria to complete his recovery period

President of the Sahrawi Arab Republic, Brahim Ghali, arrived at dawn today, Wednesday, to Algeria, returning from Spain, after his medical staff decided that his health condition did not require that he stays in the Spanish hospital, according to the Sahrawi ambassador to Algiers, Abdelkader Taleb Omar.

Sahrawi ambassador said in a statement to the Algerian News Agency that President Ghali arrived in Algeria from Spain at dawn today, Wednesday, at around three o’clock in the morning, to complete his recovery period.

Taleb Omar added that the Sahrawi president’s health condition is improving, and there is no longer any reason for him to stay in the Spanish hospital, expressing President Ghali’s satisfaction “with what he has received in terms of treatment and also in terms of refuting Moroccan propaganda, which attempted to deal a blow to the struggle of the Sahrawi people by targeting one of its symbols.

For his part, the representative of the Polisario Front in Europe and the European Union, Abi Bouchraya al-Bachir, confirmed in a statement to the Algerian News Agency that Sahrawi President Brahim Ghali left Spain, to continue complementary treatment in Algeria, stressing that his medical team confirmed that his health condition is “improving”, and there is no longer a reason for him to remain in the Spanish hospital, where he was being treated after his infection by the novel corona virus.

The Sahrawi President was admitted at San Pedro de Logroño Hospital in Spain on April 18 to receive treatment for Covid-19, and the Spanish authorities confirmed that Sahrawi President Brahim Ghali will leave Spain when his treatment period ends.
