Saudi Minister of Hajj: All facilities will be granted to Algerian Hajjis

The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfik Ben Fawzan Al-Rabiah said on Wednesday in Algiers that all facilities will be granted to Algerian Hajjis, adding that the quota of Algerian pilgrims had been raised to 41,300 Hajjis for the 2023 Hajj season.

In a statement at the end of the meeting granted to him by the President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mr Tawfik Ben Fawzan Al-Rabiah underlined that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia “welcomes Algerian pilgrims, especially since the restrictions on the number and age of pilgrims have been lifted”.

“It was agreed to grant Algeria a quota of 41,300 hadijs, to whom all facilities will be granted,” he said.

Tawfik Ben Fawzan Al-Rabiah stressed that his meeting with President Tebboune ” reflects the depth of relations between Algeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia “, expressing the ” high consideration ” that the Custodian of the two Holy Places of Islam and the Crown Prince have for Algeria.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr Abdelaziz Khellaf and the Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Mr Youcef Belmahdi.
