Serbian President praises Algeria’s historic role in establishing and supporting Non-Aligned Movement

President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, praised today, Monday, Algeria’s historic role in “establishing and supporting the message of non-alignment.”

During the reception given to Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, on the sidelines of his participation in the work of the Non-Aligned Movement conference hosted by the Serbian capital, Belgrade, Mr. Vučić expressed his deep thanks to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for “Algeria’s effective and valuable participation” at Belgrade summit.

The two parties renewed their determination to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss ways to develop cooperation in various fields between Algeria and Serbia. The need to intensify coordination between the states members of the Non-Aligned Movement in order to meet the challenges of the day and to improve the role of the non-aligned movement, as an active and influential partner in international relations in the fulfillment of the principles of the non-aligned countries, was also discussed.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his congratulations on the occasion of organizing this conference, which will enhance cooperation between the countries of the Movement, especially in the context of the current challenges.

The Prime Minister, representing the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is participating in the high-level meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the first Conference of Non-Aligned Countries in Belgrade.
