Hospitals in Setif province will be reinforced “soon” by 11 oxygen generators, at the initiative of businessmen from Setif and other provinces, to support the efforts undertaken to help Covid-19 patients, as we learned Wednesday from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) El Hidab.
The operation, supervised by CCI-El Hidab will involve the hospital Mohamed Abdenour Saadna, Setif’s pediatric center as well as hospitals in several municipalities, including Ain El Kebira, Ain Oulmène, Bougaâ, El Eulma, Beni Ourtilène and Beni Aziz, said the president of this chamber, Ali Mansouri.
According to the same source, these initiatives reflect the “cohesion of the Algerian people, and contribute to the spread of solidarity in this exceptional situation caused by Covid-19 pandemic. These actions will strengthen hospitals facing lack of oxygen supply and also support the efforts of medical staff in this period that is seeing an increase in the number of patients infected by Covid-19 and requiring oxygen, added the president of the ICC El Hidab.
” Import licenses have been obtained by the Ministry of Commerce and export promotion, pending the licenses of the Ministry of pharmaceutical industry, ” Mr. Mansouri added .
In recent days, a number of solidarity initiatives have been launched across Setif province to support hospitals with oxygen and breathing devices as the increase of Covid-19 cases, such as the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars, which is expected to distribute soon 70 breathing aids, according to the official of the province office of the association .
