During the past week, units and detachments of People’s National Army carried out several operations in the context of combating terrorism, organized crime and illegal immigration.
An operational outcome of the National People’s Army stated today, Wednesday, that “in the framework of its noble tasks in defending and securing the national territory against various threats, units and detachments of the National People’s Army, during the period extending from July 28 to August 03, 2021, carried out several operations that confirm the commitment of our armed forces, to maintain security and tranquility in our country.”
On the other hand, the coast guards were able to thwart illegal immigration attempts of 128 people who were on traditional boats in Oran, El Kala, Annaba, Skikda and Chlef, while 44 illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested in Tlemcen, Ghardaia, Tindouf and Djanet, according to the same outcome.
