Snow covers the heights of Sidi Semiane in Tipasa

The first snowfalls covered, today, Sunday,  the heights of the city of Sidi Semiane, west of Tipasa, filling the hearts of the residents of the province with joy and happiness after an absence of snow for four whole winter seasons.

Residents of the rural mountainous city of Sidi Semiane, located 16 km southwest of the coastal city of Cherchell and about 900 meters above sea level, woke up to see snow covering the region.

The farmers were also overjoyed with the fall of this amount of snow, as well as the significant amounts of rain during the past weeks, especially since the province of Tipasa is an agricultural region that has suffered in recent years from a severe drought.
