Sonatrach Group announced that it had achieved a positive result during the drilling of the Hassi Ilatou East (LTE-1) well, which was completed in the Sebaa area (province of Adrar), according to a statement of the group.
This discovery comes 28 years after the last oil discovery in the Sebaa area in 1994, and is located 6 kilometers from the Hassi Ilatou processing center.
Sonatrach indicated in a statement that the initial estimate of the size of this discovery ranges between 48 and 150 million barrels.
This positive result is very encouraging for the continuation of the activity of exploration for liquid hydrocarbons in the Sebaa area in order to ensure the supply of the Adrar refinery.
