
The Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of the Knowledge Economy and Start-ups, Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid, received on Thursday the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Algeria, Alejandro Alvarez, with whom he discussed opportunities for cooperation with the UN organization in the field of start-ups, said a press release from the delegated ministry.
The meeting also focused on the means for the United Nations to contribute to “the achievement of the objectives of government policies aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship, digital technology, innovation and job creation in Algeria”, specified the same source.
The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Delegate Ministry, in the presence of the Director of the Sub-Regional Office of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), Zuzana Schwidrowski, and the Director of the Office of the World Organization Intellectual Property (WIPO) in Algeria, Mohamed Salek.
