Strong winds blows in the south of the country on Friday afternoon

Several provinces located in the south of the country have been hit by strong winds in the form of storms accompanied by sandstorms that significantly reduced visibility, according to a special bulletin from the National Meteorological Office.

The provinces which were placed in an “orange” alert level, are: Tindouf, Beni Abbas, Bachar, South El Bayadh, Manea, Timimoun, and North Adrar, according to the same source, noting that the wind speed will be north-east.

The wind speed ranged from 60 to 70 km/h, and may reach or exceeded 80 km/h at times during the bulletin’s validity period which is from Friday at 18:00 to Saturday at 12:00.
