The terrorist named “Mellouki Hocini” also known as “Abdeldjalil,” who joined terrorist groups operating in the Sahel region in 2011, surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th military region on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN) on Wednesday.
“In the context of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the qualitative efforts of the security services of the Ministry of National Defense, the terrorist named ‘Mellouki Hocini’ aka ‘Abdeldjalil’ surrendered yesterday, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th military region,” the statement said.
The terrorist “had joined terrorist groups operating in the Sahel region in 2011” and “had in his possession one (01) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, one (01) magazine, and a quantity of ammunition,” the same source added.
“This operation reinforces the positive results achieved on the ground, which demonstrate the great vigilance and firm determination of the units and personnel of the People’s National Army to preserve the security and stability of the country,” the statement concluded.
