The first group of pilgrims from south of the country head to the holy sites

The first group of pilgrims from the southern provinces of the countrry headed this today, Saturday, to the holy sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to perform the Hadj rituals on the first round-trip flight from Ain Al Baida Airport in Ouargla.

The group which includes 301 pilgrims was seen off by the provincial authorities, after they had completed all the applicable administrative, customs and police procedures.

Seven flights were scheduled for the 2022 Hadj to transport approximately 2,740 pilgrims from the provinces of Ouargla, El-Oued, Ghardaia, Illizi, Djanet, Tamanrasset, Touggourt, Menea and El Mgueyer, with 290 people per flight, as explained by the commercial services in the regional directorate of Air Algérie Issa Daoud.

Outbound flights are expected to continue until the first of July, while the inbound flights are scheduled between 18 and 31 of the same month.

All necessary organizational measures have been taken in order to fully take care of the pilgrims and provide them with all conditions of comfort, as indicated.
