Health Minister Abdelhak Saihi received, shortly before the meeting of the executive board of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health in Algiers, the Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League and head of the Department of Social Affairs, Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, said Monday a statement from the ministry.
Following discussions with the Minister of Health, Ms Abu Ghazaleh highlighted “the importance of Algiers meeting”, under the theme “Strengthening health security to improve the health of the population and to prepare for possible unknown pandemics”, in terms of the issues that will be discussed, debated and included in the agenda of this session.
Mrs Abu Ghazaleh praised “Algeria’s major role ” and ” its prominent position at the Arab level “.
The Minister of Health stressed “Algeria’s efforts to ensure the success of the 58th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health, scheduled for 13 and 14 March, by reaching a consensus with the Arab Ministers of Health on all the items on the agenda of the Executive Bureau and the Council of Arab Ministers of Health”.
