Transport Minister Aïssa Bekai received Venezuelan Ambassador to Algeria Jose de Jesus Sojo Reyes, with whom he discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation relations in various modes of transport, especially airspace, according to the ministry’s press release.
During this meeting, which took place yesterday, Wednesday at the Ministry’s headquarters, the two parties agreed to launch technical consultations between the civil aviation authorities in the two countries with the aim of discussing a bilateral agreement in the field of air transport while studying the possibility of opening an air route linking the two capitals, Algeria and Caracas.
In this regard, the press release added, the two sides agreed to study the possibility of developing the partnership between Air Algérie and its Venezuelan counterpart through the exchange of experience and technical assistance.
Finally, the two parties agreed to continue contact and consultation in order to enhance cooperation in the field of transport, according to the same source.
