
The President of the Republic, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune awarded, on Sunday in Algiers, the medal of the Order of National Merit with the rank of “Achir” to the members of the Algerian mission dispatched to Turkey and Syria to participate in the rescue operations of the victims of the earthquake which struck the two countries.
This medal was awarded to a squad of the Air Force of the People’s National Army (ANP) and to teams of the Civil Protection and the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) who took part in the rescue operations of the victims of the earthquake that hit the south of Turkey and the north of Syria, thus honouring Algeria with their remarkable professionalism and their great humanitarian sense drawn from the values of the Glorious War of Liberation.
This recognition took place during a ceremony organised at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Centre (CIC), attended by senior State officials and members of the Government.
