The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, issued, today, Sunday, while presiding over the Council of Ministers, an order to provide the conditions for the success of the Algerian Academy of Sciences and Technologies by completing its inauguration according to its new organization in terms of formation, progress of performance and tasks.
A cabinet communiqué stated that the President of the Republic had also given instructions to move towards concluding twinning agreements and international partnerships with international academies that meet the same standards as the Algerian Academy, with “the need to highlight its role through the media,” calling at the same time to work on “the positive impact of the Academy being reflected on the educational system and scientific research.”
The President of the Republic also urged to “focus on creating an internal system befitting the status of the Academy as the highest scientific body” in the country.
Prior to this, the Council of Ministers had approved a draft law defining the organization, formation, functioning and tasks of the Algerian Academy of Sciences and Technology.
