The President of the State of Palestine receives a warm welcome upon his arrival in Algeria

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, upon his arrival on Sunday in Algeria as part of a three-day state visit, received a warm welcome that reflects the depth of relations between the two brotherly peoples and Algeria’s firm support for the Palestinian cause.

President Abbas was received at Houari Boumediene International Airport by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and senior state officials, led by the President of the Council of Ministers, Salah Goudjil, President of the People’s National Assembly, Brahim Boughali, President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, Prime Minister, Minister of Finance , Aïmene Benabderrahmane, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant-General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Urban Development Kamel Beldjoud and a number of government members.

21 cannon shots in honour of Algeria’s guest:

After listening to the two national anthems, Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Mahmoud Abbas reviewed a detachment of the Republican Guard that gave the two president the honorary salute, while the artillery fired 21 cannon shot to welcome the guest of Algeria.

The reception took place in the airport’s honor hall, in the presence of members of the governments of the two countries, a number of ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria.
