The Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, Brahim Boughali, affirmed today, Wednesday, that the strong return of Algerian diplomacy at the international level requires the adoption of the same vision at the level of Parliament, as it is a “fundamental pillar of official diplomacy.”
Boughali explained, during his supervision of a study day on “Parliamentary Groups of Friendship”, that “Algeria’s strong return in many of the files raised at the international level requires us to adopt the same vision and strategy and work to implementit at the parliamentary level,” in order to “make a quantum leap in Our parliamentary diplomacy work within the framework of the established and unwavering principles of our foreign policy.
He added that the mechanism of parliamentary groups for friendship is considered one of the most important means and tools of parliamentary diplomacy, as it contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and deepening coordination, dialogue and consultation with sisterly and friendly countries in various fields in a way that serves the goals of our foreign policy and achieves the interests of our country.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament called on the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups to “encourage exchange in various fields and benefit from successful experiences in the sectors of knowledge, renewable energies, health, education and others.”
