Several provinces from the center and east of the country will witness, starting at noon today, Saturday, heavy rain, accompanied by hail in some areas, according to the National Meteorological Office, in a special weather bulletin.
According to the bulletin classified as “orange”, the provinces concerned are Tipaza, Algiers, Blida, Boumerdes, Ain Defla, Medea and Msila.
The validity of the notice extends from three 03:00 pm on Saturday until 11:00 pm. Expected amounts of rain are estimated between 15 and 25 mm, and may reach or exceed 30 mm locally.
Heavy rain will also be recorded, starting from Saturday at 03:00 pm until 9:00 am tomorrow, Sunday, in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, Bejaia, Jijel, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif and Mila, where amounts ranging between 20 to 30 mm are expected and may reach or exceed 40 mm locally.
