Several provinces in the center and east of the country will witness, as from Friday night and Saturday, thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, according to a special bulletin of the National Office of Meteorology.
The alert, which was classified in the “orange” degree of vigilance, and whose validity extends from 21:00 on Friday night until 12:00 on Saturday, concerns the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Setif, Mila and Constantine.
According to the same source, the amount of rain expected in the aforementioned provinces will range between 20 and 40 mm, and may reach or exceed 50 mm locally.
It is also expected that the provinces of Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Qelma and Souk Ahras will witness rain, starting from 23:00 on Friday night until 21:00 on Saturday night.
