Some western and central provinces of the country will witness, starting from midday on Saturday, rain, sometimes in the form of thundershowers, according to a special bulletin of the National Meteorological Office.
According to the same bulletin, the provinces concerned are: Mostaganem, Chlef, Ain Defla, Blida, Tipasa, and Algiers, adding that the expected rainfall amounts will range between 60 and 80 mm and may reach or exceed 120 mm locally, during the validity period of this bulletin, which extends from Midday (12:00) today, Saturday, until midday (12:00) tomorrow, Sunday.
Some provinces of the country will also witness rain accompanied by strong winds during the same period of validity of the bulletin.
According to the same source, the provinces concerned are Oran, Mascara, Saïda, Relizane, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Medea and Boumerdes, where the expected amounts of rain range between 40 and 60 mm and may reach or exceed 80 mm locally during the validity period of this bulletin.
