Two people were killed and seven others were injured in a traffic accident which occurred today, Wednesday, in Azeffoun, north of the province of Tizi Ouzou, according to a statement by Civil Protection services.
The source explained that the accident occurred as a result of a collision between a school bus and a tourist car carrying four people, on the axis of National Road No. 24 that crosses the activity area of the municipality of Azeffoun, which is characterized by great movement during peak hours.
Two people died among the passengers of the tourist car, while two people who were accompanying them and five students sustained minor injuries, after which they were transferred to the hospital of the city of Azeffoun. The bodies of the two victims were also transferred to the mortuary department of the same hospital.
Subsequently, the relevant regional security services opened an investigation in order to determine the circumstances of this incident, according to the same statement.
