A partnership agreement was signed this summer between “Abou Bekr Belkaïd” University of Tlemcen and the Chinese company “Huawei,” according to the director of the same institution for higher education, Latif Maknounif.
In this regard, Mr. Maknounif said: “The signing of this agreement with the Chinese partner “Huawei” comes in the context of the processes of opening up to the international market and strengthening relations with the social and economic sector carried out by the University of Tlemcen in recent years in response to the priorities set by our custodian ministry.”
The same official highlighted that the agreement “also falls within Huawei ECT Academy program, which aims to contribute to the development of the national digital ecosystem by focusing on innovation and the development of specific skills in the field of information technology.”
Among what this program allows as well, other initiatives such as the establishment of the “Huawei Academy for Information and Networks” at the University of Tlemcen, in addition to the joint organization of scientific activities and national and international competitions, as was indicated.
The same source added that these processes will enable the granting of specific and high-quality training to professors and students by establishing “Huawei” certification and providing them with practical skills, thus preparing them for a better professional integration.
